Yeah, dwarf really feels wrong here (and a few times in the past when talking about Caro and her race). The chapters where the MC visited an actual dwarven town definitely made dwarf feel like a different race to Caro. Doubly so a couple of chapters back when they were talking about the race that was Caro's non-human half. Really felt like gnome or halfling or something, and not dwarf.
