(Knowing life happens and scanlating is done with a lot of love and some madness) That's the longest 10 days I've seen since last April.

With refrigerator, the repertoire of food we'll be able to make and keep fresh is expanding. I want ice cream!

Well at least they haven't turned her I to their personal chef slave or something
Also, nobody ever tried the black berries, ever?! They probably didn't even smell rotten and animals would definitely be eating them. No one tried, not even an idiot or as a dare, how do they even have sugar with that logic.

@Kireato Well yeah but, judging by the fact that everyone in the room had tried them before, they're definitely something that some people in that world do eat, and like, it's really hard to pick a bunch of blueberries (and they totally are just blueberries) and not end up with an even mix of some that are sweet and some that are sour regardless of what color they are.
I get why it's gotta be this way for Isekai Escapist Fantasy Reasons, but golly, sometimes that ol' willing suspension of disbelief really does get pushed a little too hard in this genre

@JWChibi These are rich people, not random group of poor people that the MC shows food items. So unlike most Isekai the otherworlders at least can say they don't have a need to try eating random stuffs. If I was poor and there was a food item that the nobles didn't eat, I wouldn't tell them about it. I'd just practice "suffering the sour taste" for their benefit.

If I had to guess what the author is thinking of, blackberries might look similar to raspberries, and if you

I'm almost curious enough to go looking for a WN or LN translation to see if our MC thought about what they were called back in Japan. Could be black currants, these could be blueberries.

Edit: https://ncode.syosetu.com/n7222ff/47/ MTL says they taste like raspberries, nothing about the look of the berry.

What's odder in my mind is the fact that no one with the appraisal skill actually checked such things as when a food is edible or best to eat; but then appraisal is a rare skill and whoever has it is tasked with appraising people (as they said earlier, it's not even actually possible to appraise every person working in the castle so the skill is clearly rare and used only in certain instances.) In this instance, the MC has the skill, the cooking knowledge and the leisure to appraise fruits.
It was noted that not only is appraisal rare, specialized ones that actually give more details than incredibly basic information are even rarer. It's quite possible she's the first person with an appraisal that says anything about taste or edibility in a long time, or possibly ever.

On a different note, rereading this for the umpteenth time, I just noticed that Ed pulled the magic bag out of a magic bag. This universe appears to support nested bags of holding? I wonder if there's any limitations.
