I'm glad y'all are conscious about licensed series. <33 The book isn't even up for preorder on Amazon yet, so I'll definitely follow you until you stop. TTvTT (and then buy the books, because I'm trash for this series, honestly)

oh damn, it's licensed now? Then I need to add it to the list of "manga I'll never finish because they get licenced", because A: any official english translation won't ever come to my country. B: no shipping to my country and C: shipping costs is too expensive :( either all three or a mix between two. anyway, I'll follow it here until the end though.

Yey, the manga got licensed in one country and now every person who doesn’t lives there will never read this manga again.

Don’t get me wrong, nobody is saying that you HAVE to translate something, it’s a voluntary work, after all, and for that I’m very grateful. But saying that the translation will stop because it got licensed is really disappointing and leaves a feeling of it being unfair.

@NightmareWeeb The saddest part is even if you're on the up and up, buying the licensed copies, 90% of licensed manga never finish their run. A few volumes get released at best and then the publisher dumps it like last week's newspaper. So series that are already sometimes into the hundreds of chapters might get officially licensed, and the window to catch up to the scanlation could (will) take years, and the official release will never even reach that point anyway.

Official localization is almost a way to guarantee that language will never see a complete story. It's kind of a sad turn of events in modern years.

Whut? She read the book for ages? Man, how lucky is she? It's not odd to spend days on a single chapter in advanced topics. From experience, once past the early, easy pages, complex topics start to jump around. You really have to be completely aware of past publications, references, and related case studies to be able to understand an advanced textbook like a story book. But, who knows, maybe she lucked out and the first book she picked was the "Advanced Herbology For Potion Concoction for Dummies".

looks like I will have to add this series to my amazon.jp cart. and then wait for the localization to be dropped, as always.
it's always funny how it says "support the author" as if licensed copies give them anything worth accounting for lol.

Something I hate about the Isekai Mangas of these types where you get summoned. Nobody gives a shit about their own families in their original world.

@vvasu001 That's just not true though? It's basically a spectrum within the genre, with people who want to return to Earth despite having literally nothing to go back to and it's all they ever seem to think about at one end, and then people who don't even seem to care about what they might have left behind at all and just want to enjoy their new fantasy life at the other, with everything else in between.

Actually there's even examples where the MC is the only one who didn't even get summoned but still got the isekai powerup cheats or the story only takes place after they've returned home and still have all their powers or stuff like that. There's a fair amount of variety in this kind of area of isekai exactly because everyone writing them realizes there's way too many of these things. Even if you're treading the same basic path, you want to add your own twists to it to possibly stand out a bit.

It doesn't amount to very much change though, honestly, since they probably have to at least force the matter to be set aside until later on, like "Well, there's no known way for you to go back" or "You can only return after doing this specific task we summoned you for, but it's kind of a doozy so take your time." The characters dwelling on it all the time would probably be more realistic, but it also might not be the most enjoyable way to present a fantasy setting to casual readers, which means taking risks where your income source is determined.

I really appreciate the group staying on this project until it's officially released and not leaving us on a cliffhanger
Thanks so much for translating!

I wish she had figured this out by gaining hints from books and experimenting, not by having some dude conveniently tell her about it.

@Kaarme But then that would just be inconsistent story telling. The author has already shown her to be someone incapable of thinking or acting for herself without a man leading her by her hand.

@nan0bitz You asked 9 months ago and I have no idea if you're satisfied with what you've seen since then but in regards to Yuuri:
He's fine. He's just a bit... Off-putting when it comes to things he's interested in.

While in reality, there's no proof that mixing medicinal (actually medicinal, you junkie) herbs can have increased potency or new effects. However, they live in a world where enough rosemary can mend broken bones. The lack of experimentation in using two harmful things at the same time is kinda depressing
