On that note I forgot he was only 7 at the start, I thought he was also 12 like the loli teacher...... Now at 12 he looks almost 18 though

This is part of why I don't a fair number of translations like this; they freely adapt the language however they like with no consideration at all for the setting.

I'm really curious what the original word in Japanese was for the sentence "This isn't the body of a kid anymore". No matter how you cut it, a 12-year old is still a kid haha

Kid was probably something like "kodomo" which would make sense in this context. Kodomo is elementary school age, whereas MC is now middle school age.

Some people just don't grow very much. I work with a 30-year old woman that looks like a middle schooler.
