From everything said I don't think they necessarily have a contracted person, though I could be wrong. If anything maybe one or both previously had a contract- many possible reasons it may not still be active. I could also see the possibility of multiple contracts, especially if it ends up that there are various types of contracs possible.

Anyway I think they could have progressed and gained names, positions, etc. without the need for a contractor; maybe just over enough time, or a gift from another, absorption from places higher in power, etc.
The way some things were worded I think that had Bell been around long enough and gained enough power I think she would have gotten a 'name' like Slyphie, though the exact details, idk.
And this could be wrong, just how it seemed to me from what I've read here, along with bits and pieces from elsewhere etc.
Oh and having said all that I do actually think there is a good chance one or both had/have contracts- maybe even somehow related to the mentioned 'war' in the past.

@RonBWL Thanks for sharing that. That cliffhanger really got me so I really wanted to take a peek lol.
And no worries, I'm just happy to get stuff translated at all; I know how much time and effort can go into them so I'm thankful to be able to read it at all. Espcially with quality translations, redraws, etc. And I know how easy it is for irl stuff to necessitate pushing projects to the back burner- It really annoys me when people disregard the fact that those who do this service have their own lives and issues that should take precedent over more releases.
