chapter 1 has promise. Like it’s written in the premise; both secret otakus, marriage of convenience with minimal interaction. Plot quickly progresses to a new status quo by the end of the first chapter

Why is it not tagged Shoujo though? Artstyle and chara development fit the genre to a T.

A really, really, really promising start. Both FMC and MC already married and know that both of them is otaku right of the early chapter (which is the entire point of the manga). Thats really a huge headstart for a romance manga, so we ain't wasting time on willy nilly blushing MC after he accidentally touch her skin.

Now the next huge step is when they do the gawk gawk 6000

Nah, Wotakois original premise was really on point for the time period the author had in their mind when writing it. The problem is it ran for years so the situation just became less and less relevant as formerly niche nerd activities became increasingly mainstream. (They were already becoming main stream on first publish, just not to the point where the premise wasn’t relevant for anyone)

Interesting premise, good start and steady development, up until the moment you can hear the axe falling. Then the ending is rushed at supersonic speed, with a flurry of new characters, backstory dumps, plot reveals, twists, etc.

Its still an acceptable story, even with the rushed ending, but damn. Even through the rushed end you can see glimpses of all the story that we missed out on. It felt like the artist had 2 volumes worth of story that suddenly had to fit into 1 1/2 chapters.
