For that one comment, don’t think the father let it out inside… But also still horrifying, icl.
Why didn’t they honestly just tell the truth to Hasumi?? A half-truth, I guess actually. Just be like, “The truth is that my mother is setting me up to be sullied by strange men every time I come home because she wants a grandchild. Can I please stay at your place?? I don’t know what else to do…”
To be fair, they do seem like they don’t necessarily know it’s wrong as a whole… Just wrong in that they know they don’t want it and that it’s against his own wishes. Might be safe to say that he doesn’t know or was raised to not care for consent… If he DOES know the word rape though… I dunno then, tbh. There are people who pass a lot of crazy things out there as not rape though, so… Could happen. It IS possible. But damn.
Punishment far outweighs the crime, albeit justified at first.
No one would wish this life on their worst enemy 😭 not even for the sake of giving them wealth, damn.
Messed up values. Messed up parents. Raised a broken child, basically. Damn.
The fact that this could happen or HAS happened somewhere in the world irks me.
The fact that this was DRAWN is unsettling. I get for the sake of plot development or whatnot, but this is just… wow. Why. How did this… Did they not think how messed up this was even for “messed up” standards once while making this?? Sure, the art is great. The scenes are fine without context aside from the rape. The plot is… interesting, to say the least. Definitely lacking in the ethics and morals departments, lol.
All in all, agree with the comments above me and holy shit this is a wild fucking ride. If Hasumi ain’t about to save him, I wanna bet that his friend is. Honestly thought that the mysterious person WAS his friend for a second, but no, he’d recognize them immediately. Even more so if they were aware of the illness going on since there has only been two reported where they are, right?? How does the infection even happen then? Damn, rip. They said something about certain genes, so maybe it had to be because of Kyou?? They themselves I guess didn’t have any traits that seemed feminine at first, but maybe Kyou also had the genes. Who knows.
Edit: Ah, guess they didn’t do it because they knew about the feelings of the mother and the “just in case” was so they wouldn’t have to feel her wrath or something. Honestly might’ve been more of a greeting than a “meeting” to do “that” like the others, tbh. He just did it because he wanted to. Which is scummy in and of itself, fr lol.
Next chapter, I guess damn. Heavy plot, ngl.
