That manager could be flirting with her instead but apparently is only allowed between seiyuus

sometimes you just need someone to tell you to look at your fucking work and appreciate your own talents.

I really hate this. I hate that this chapter is totally what I like about this manga. Why do I hate it then? Because last chapter we were left with a cliffhanger of a real problem in our hands!!! WHEN'S THAT GONNA COME INTO PLAY!?
I'm so nervous I can't enjoy the chapter properly... I really just want that cliffhanger to be dealt with asap.

Anyways, great chapter. Thanks for the translations!

This was super cute. I love people being agreesivelly passive, and Watanabe's character development is great, as well as just the yuri development overall!

I've got to say, at this point in the story, this manga isn't very good.

The issue mostly lies in Watanabe, we're constantly being told she's a rising star, but everything up to this point has cast her into a sea of incompetence. And now, when we're finally about to witness her abilities...she's given a single panel. And how did they choose to use that panel? A rapid-fire delivery showing her mastery of voice control and alliteration? A lengthy monologue showing the results of her work pouring over scripts at school every day? No, they chose Yumiko thinking about how good her voice is, you know, the medium that can least clearly come through text.

Meanwhile, we're being told how much Yumiko is struggling, but she has handled every situation so far nearly perfectly, her inferiority complex being her only defining trait - a trait not even unique to her alone as it can be seen in Watanabe as well. Nor is that trait particularly convincing when we haven't seen her mess up even once.

What we  see is directly contradictory to what we're being told. I certainly hope it improves from here.

Edit: There were a couple high points, but no, no it did not.
