Damn, that's a super interesting way to introduce her backstory. It shows us her lifestyle before she became Quinta and it gives the viewer the chance to put two and two together with the granddaughter thing (how she knew about the guild and other tidbits about the area, her ease at doing spearfishing, wood cutting and weeding, wearing her mask and acting differently, etc). Great chapter.

ah, so that's Quinta's grandfather. no wonder she's so skilled at wood chopping, fishing, basically surviving in the wild at the age of 16. she's amazing.
