I DIDN'T KNOW THESE PARTS OF THE STORYLINE EXISTED (idk i'm just dumb probably)
It's very fascinating to see Lugh's internal conflict between the callousness he honed from his past life and the wholehearted empathy he's learning in this new one. To kill for good is to have a heart that already seeks for it.
Plus I like this encounter with Dia. In the anime, it was a soup-making mission. Probably that way in the LN too but this is a nice introduction, imprinting a hard-to-forget scene in their mind that will actually set an intriguing first impression later on.
The manga version feels superior ngl. I'm loving this so far
