Wouldn't say that he's a loser. He fully acknowledged that he lost since Lugh was able to defeat the current head. And seeing as how this is an assassination family, I'm sure everyone understands their role completely and faithfully. So if your capable, but not stronger than the head then your duty is to serve the head for the sake of the family. So in order to make sure there is no enemnity between them Lugh gave him the sword as an act of acknowledgement of strength, and as a way of saying "Let's work together in the future" sort of thing.

@ibubblesaur Sasuga Author-sama

So far this is by far the best assassin manga I've seen, usually it's just like how that knight-boy said, "Might wins over everything", sure they have stealth skills and all, but that's it, now this one is branching towards all factors of what an assassin should be, including the reputation, status and contacts, author must play a lot of 4D Chess, huh

unfaithful son huh, she might be excited about the premise and what it might entail for him to keep up appearances.

Is it weird for an old man to feel this way towards his "father" who is younger than him?

@Lightbrand He grew up again...and this man was his father that time. It's kinda like an adoptive father? Not to mention, his spirit may be old...but his brain was not. That would affect how he thinks and feels, too.
