I can understand MC's reaction, no matter how much people tell you that it's dangerous, no matter how much you psych yourself, the once you're in a life or death situation this would be the reaction of the majority of people and to make matters worse the common sense of our world is that fluffy, round monsters on the first floor are very weak and easy to kill (Slime, Poring).
