@Kurogwane : agreed, I have read the LN volumes that got released in English so far, and while some of this is there it does expand nicely on what is said of their pre-seeker lives.

@Hijinx : I though that was stated already, might be getting LN and manga mixed up though (read LN 1-4 since the last chapter was released here)

I personally don’t mind, authors have been following a trend recently that I’ve noticed where they start putting some more serious stuff that doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the story but is nevertheless stuffed to the brim with important character information.

I would understand your distaste if this was an extra that consisted of a few 4koma and some illustrations but this is basically a full chapter my dude.

For those complaining about filler and the speed of translations, remember that the official English release of the manga isn’t that far behind, so be thankful that someone is still enabling you to freeload this.
