I would almost swear this was a rewrite, given the dialogue, if I hadn't already been acquainted with the absurdity of Shingeki no Eroko-san, the other Henjo spinoff.

I meant "rewrite" as in "completely made-up dialogue that doesn't have anything to do with the original Japanese text",
not "copy-paste ideas from a previous story and retreading old plot points".

Maybe one day I'll actually read Henjo as well for comparison.
