hmm....its definetly a slice of life story....I guess that ambigious ending supposed to signify the little changes that happen in their lives moving forward. Kinda nice in that sense

And we will never know if the person they are meeting is the sister's boyfriend or a woman.

I still have a hunch it's a woman, because he wants Shima to be present. If it was the sis' fiance, he wouldn't care.

And that the sister would have a b/f, a fiance or a husband isn't really relevant to their slice of life.

That he'd maybe get together again with a woman, is.

Thanks Kanjut for bringing this manga to a close at last. I'm gonna miss Shima so much, I loved how relatable and realistic she was portrayed. I guess we'll never know about that mysterious person.

Based on some of the hints dropped in this chapter, I personally believe his sister is introducing a girl to him, since she apparently asked for the daughter to come too. Since it's left to the imagination of the reader, this is what I'll choose to believe in.

This certainly ended prematurely. As I did initially, I'll also rather keep thinking the sister wanted him to meet a woman. That would make this axed ending a bit more tolerable.

@agtra Yeah, just like Peter Jackson only made 15 Bad Taste movies. Except he didn't. If the author's career is to draw comics (supposedly), it wouldn't be strange at all to want to try different sort of things. I suppose many a mangaka would dream of making a really long series, thus ensuring they wouldn't need to worry about money for a good long while, if ever, but on the other hand, it must also get tedious after a certain point. Many long series also start to deteriorate as a sign of the author struggling with making only more of the same day after day.

Anyway, it's a bit disappointing that this seems like it was axed, but at the same time it doesn't feel like anything was left unsaid IMO. It accomplished what it had to, and I'm totally satisfied.

Conclusion was pretty nice. Its a story about a family with single father and it properly stopped at hint that he plans to re-marry, without unneded cliche'd drama.
Wholesome, it was a nice read.
