It's very strange for Shizuko's uncle to claim he don't belive in Gods while literally experiencing time travel
It could be a case of translation/intent issues that often come with translations 🤷‍♂️.

He’s essentially a man from the future now, having read about his own history and time, and likely doesn’t believe in traditional gods like the people of his era. If someone from our time were to travel back in history, they probably wouldn’t view gods the same way people from Oda’s time did. Also, his knowledge about the past might make him aware that the gods these monks believe in are made up, and they’re exploiting the ideas of gods, tradition, fear, and whatever else of the unknown for their own benefit.

Shhh. Don't try bursting the bubble. It's like when isekai jp MC's say the same thing
You shortened my paragraph nicely into one sentence, lol.

Something tells me the end of the series is at 100 chapters. I hope I'm wrong, and off by at least 30 more.

Thank you for the TL, @Gold_Scale, and your time to fix up any A.I. errors. Honestly, I'm not noting any difference between this TL and what the Yado-Inn group has done.

That said, please keep the "this was TL'd by A.I." and "fixed up by you" disclaimer. Noticeable disclaimers always help to quell negative feedback.
I doubt it. There are still much to do after all. For example, fighting against other clans, reuniting the whole of Japan. Who knows, they might try to conquer other countries too.

I know it would be an incredibly dark turn, but I can't see this ending any way other than Shizuko ends up getting sent back to the modern era or she gets assassinated.

Thanks for all the updates! I was missing this series as it's pretty interesting, so I'm glad we're finally catching up to the raws.

In that case, I wonder if assassination is how she'll get sent back, if at all. Would be cool to see how her presence ultimately changed Japan's history in the long run, though, because who knows; Oda very well could avoid being betrayed in this timeline and ultimately unite Japan, but that also means that if she does return, she mightn't have a place to return to lol
