IIRC, her phone actually still works with a manual charger and uses an offline encyclopedia app for random bits of her knowledge. Besides her being taught by her grandad and sister about almost everything including using a spear that almost sounded like they knew she will need it.

She uses a handcrank charger. You plug it to the phone and generate a charge by quickly turning the handle (like a fishing reel). Hers is very small and compact, but some models you see online come with a built-in torch and weather/radio. It's a very useful emergency item in situations where you may lose power or off the grid (like hiking, or getting isekai'd hahaha)

Tbf knowledge about quarantines and healthy eating aren't exactly complicated. It's just revolutionary for those in the past because they don't know the background behind it. Heck, I'm no doctor and even I know what to do if I get sick, especially with an infectious disease like measles or other variations of pox.

Take for example, washing hands. Nowadays, we all wash our hands to get rid of germs and it improves our health fantastically. But if you were in the past, people would just laugh at you. Something so simple and obvious now is crazy to think of in the past.

You don't have to know exactly how it works (me not being a doctor and obviously not an expert in virology). You just have to know what works and use that.

Because she was trained extensivly in this field by her grandparents I think her family knows about their time travel ability and teach them all this shit.

I mean her uncle joined her in going back so theirs that so they know the trigger in going back. Pretty sure they can return anytime Uncle just has a goal before he let her return just an assumption though.

About MC knowledge in illness, it is possible that she has learn in her highschool. You will be surprised on how much we asian student has to learn for each class. In history class we may learn about this pandemic and how it end, in science class we might learn about where or how you can find which vitamin. Not to mention that her grandpa friends that specialized in their own field has come to visit her granda very often, she must have learn thing or two from them for sure.

ikr! i too often drop when it becomes so wtf that i feel like im reading a self-insert-mary-sue-wattpad-fanfic hahaha but this manga still deserves a ten for the drawing the execution and the characters! if i could put 9,5 itd be better since shizuko is indeed a small mary sue when she isnt supposed to be one (just in agriculture not every field lol wtf she not even 20 x) ) but since we cant on mangadex, ill settle for a ten ^^

I feel mostly the same with the technology cheat in any manga lol. Most of the time, it annoys me enough that I drop the series because of it unless they got an alright reason for it (e.g. Jin's MC being an established doctor and Dr. Stone's Senku having an extreme interest in science and working for it step-by-step).

This story makes up for it with heart and a lovable MC, though.

Initially Akechi never expressed any dissatisfaction over Shizuko. In fact, he was cordial and respectful to her whenever they interacted. The author only now decided to make Akechi have reservations about her. It's not a huge issue but it does bother me.

He still had some reservation when he first met her as well. However, it's merely of her methods and results gives him pause (rather than herself as a person), as they're considered unorthodox for most within their era. For example, when Nobunaga had a distaste for the food that was served in the capital, Mitsuhide couldn't comprehend the reason as he saw nothing wrong with the food. When Shizuko showed up and told him that she had a solution, Mitsuhide automatically assumed that Shizuko would prepare a meal even greater than the capital's. However when he had saw that she had prepared meal that Oda was used to, Mitsuhide had a doubtful expression until Nobunaga tried the food and expressed his satisfaction.

It's similar to this. Mitsuhide didn't show any disapproval or doubts, even when Shizuko told him about the outbreak, and instead opted to act quickly at her command. It wasn't until she detailed her plan that Mitsuhide showed his doubts and disapproval. Which amplified he learned that Shizuko opted to share similar plans of handling the outbreak with even enemy lords.

Any reservations he may have had, at that time were not readily apparent/visible. The author never visually conveyed Akechi specifically to have any doubts or concerns about her. Granted, the only other time we had any interactions between Shizuko and Akechi was at that time he was accompanied by Toyotomi so the author couldn't really exclude Toyotomi. However, Toyotomi and Akechi's shock/reservation as to Shizuko's revealed solution wasn't due to her being a female but rather on the solution itself. As you've said Shizuko only recreated the local cuisine and only laced the same with ample spices.

Akechi didn't show any disapproval or doubts to her as a woman before or at least it was never visually conveyed as well as all other male detractors-turned-allies of Shizuko. It was a shock how Akechi just had any mental reservations about her and they only visually conveyed it in this chapter.

Uncle Atsushi already have Kato Danzo and his band of flying ninjas under his employment, and it would be a terrible shame to have your name be put into their shit-list.

As for the after-effect of the pandemic, I imagine other clans, particularly the far-off, non-hostile clans such as the Shimazu, Date, etc will start to warm-up with the Oda.

This is a good thing, for there are many ways to total domination other than military conquest (as demonstrated in Civilization series).

Of course not, because we saw things from Shizuko's pov rather than Mitsuhide's, and Shizuko had already completed her dish and presented it to Nobunaga before Mitsuhide realized what it was, and he once he did, he was doubtful of it. On the other hand, if Shizuko had told Mitsuhide exactly what she was going to make for Nobunaga, then we would've saw even more reservation from Mitsuhide.

And once again, Mitsuhide's reservations regarding Shizuko has to do with her methods and results, not herself as a person or even the fact that she's a woman. Even in this chapter, he was respectful enough and willingly followed Shizuko's orders of setting up a ward when she told him about the outbreak. It's not until he learned of Shizuko's plans, in which he showed doubt and reservation.

And if shizuko can somehow make a stirling engine strong and efficient for naval uses. The introduction of gunboat and early hybrid steam and sail merchant ship to beter secure supply line. i dont see korea winning this one, as japan navy will actively hunt Yi fleet

as a Yi Sun shin fan. i dread this future

Why exactly that happened? Because mods are cowards (or worse, you can imagine in what way I mean) or because you supposedly gave "spoilers".

But still, I have my fears about that point, because it seems the average japanese only knows the "bad things done to them", seems like school makes no effort of even hides all the crimes they committed, some worse than the atom bombs.
Shizuko may have some hard limited about what she could do, for example, no bio weapons, but it seems that in a few chapters she uses a very modern weapon that could easily be adapted to destroy a whole city with low effort. This is another risk, she is gambling too high, assuming that these technologies will remain a secret and not leak. That one if anyone else discovers how it's made it's over for Japan, she is nothing thinking about the consequences of her actions sometimes I think and it's only natural for us readers to ponder and share thoughts about these possibilities.
