Welcome! Now read it again, but slowly. This is a story that is dense in references to and expectation of of prior knowledge of the history of Japan of the sengoku period.

I know abit about Sengoku peroid from watching documentaries and Jdrama. I will more than likely binge read again at some point as I usually do.

Seems like Nobunaga will end being betrayed and killed again, because he is still the same Nobunaga. He is the biggest obstacle for the Oda faction to win and unify Japan, and to make others accept it, with his cruelty.

The same way he died and someone else took his place as top dog, him dying in this timeline makes no difference. I suspect Ashimitsu will try to make Shizuko the top dog, or himself and have her as his second to together rule and improve the country. They don't need Nobunaga, no one needs him, he has nothing to contribute.
