It's the classic asian people are small and childish like vs rumored but not so real "tall europeen medieval people"

but that doesn't mean anything, for example I may be a white man almost 30 years old, but it is not uncommon for people to think that I am 18 20 years old
and yet i am not asian

And where exactly is he supposed to go?
He isn't a person from this world and this kingdom is the only one he knows, all he cared about is going home(you can throw Nale and the twins in too now)

@Kikaibaka A place that doesn't follow that particular goddess's teachings about twins or where the temple is much weaker and thus nobody would want to piss him off simply because of the twins.

Please note that I don't know what you have under the spoiler tag as I don't want to read spoilers.

Nah, minor spoiler:
They really are just 3 magical beasts that the army put out a bounty for, because they had made their nests in inconvenient places that block mines or trade routes etc. The army could probably beat them themselves but it'd be inconvenient and they'd lose a bunch of soldiers in the process.

@Disguised22
"When the MC is revealed to be like 15 it really makes everything a bit lamer, to me."
Where was it "revealed he was like 15"? The information broker speculated that's what his age was based on his looks, are you being dumb enough to treat that as confirmation?

@Kaarme
The entire world follows it, with rare single exceptions here & there.

you know MC and the girl managed to defeat an entire army that was defended in a fort yet you think a handful of scummy adventurers would be able to take them down? for an information broker he sure is retarded

@Doomer It's not like he would know exactly what happened in the fort. Maybe the MC and the woman escaped during an accident, like a magic explosion. Or they did cause the accident, but that alone doesn't mean they could fight like madmen without a plan, every time. Like an ISIS terrorist can blow up a police station by planning and preparing the strike sufficiently, but it doesn't mean the man could do anything if he was surprised pants down by 20 cops in some random place.

@Amplify Just go to a less developed place, where the government's influence doesn't have as much weight and where he would instead have the weight of a mountain.

I am not saying you are wrong about it being a convenient plot device. But I thought they hid the MC's abilities from public knowledge in order to keep up their reputation. And the witnesses also likely followed suit. He also sent more than 1 idiot. There were more guys, it is just that the idiot was the one who seemed to be incharge and did the talking.

"Just go to a less developed place,"
He literally just built a log cabin for them in the middle of a monster infested wood that no sane person goes into, what more do you fucking want? Going elsewhere wouldn't change that this world is one of those 'Nobles are treated as royalty and commoners aren't fit to be the dirt beneath their boots' type of worlds, so no matter where in the world they went there'd be nobles who'd give him a hard time. Even a small village in the mountains would still have some sort of local lord they would have to pay taxes to and be inspected by, etc.

@Amplify He only built the cabin so that the kids would be sheltered from the elements while they waited for a little bit to allow things to develop. He also needed to check the capital for rumours, wanted posters, and such. He was actually considering living in the capital as he would be more inconspicuous among the multitude of people there. Not a very smart plan, but he's not a very smart man.

Nobles aren't living everywhere. A tiny settlement couldn't necessarily support a parasite like a noble living on collected taxes. On the other hand, even if there was a noble, if it was a hated person, the MC could just off him if he caused trouble. The locals would be thankful. If whoever was the next step up in a bigger town still received his dues, he might not care. After all, sending troops to some godforsaken place would be expensive and dangerous, for no particular gain. If the MC instead made a small settlement prosper and grow bigger, thus earning more money for the higher noble overseeing the place from the provincial capital, they might just reward him with a noble rank of his own, to tie him down.

They're gonna be there a while.

"Nobles aren't living everywhere."
I didn't say the noble would be living directly in the village himself, I said that the village would still be under the jurisdiction of a noble who manages the local territory and would send people to collect taxes or inspect the place etc. 'Just kill him' is a very good way to get yourself hunted down by the local kingdom. You seem to have an extremely bizarre idea of how a feudal barony or peerage worked, they're not warlords.

sending a squad of shitty adventurers vs. a guy who razed a fort, nice move from the very smart info broker.
The writing is just so shitty, wont be reading this anymore.

Did you not read? He didn't believe that he razed the fort alone, he assumed he must have had a bunch of companions help him. Who would believe a rumour that one guy razed a fort by himself?

@Amplify Of course they were warlords. They only became something else when the civilization progressed and nation states became firm. Though I suppose they are pretty firm in the world of this series, but that's why I said he should go to some remote place, where things aren't so solid and stable. He couldn't easily go about killing a major noble in order to establish himself, yes, but I never said he should. From a kingdom's point of view it doesn't much matter who is some minor noble running a remote village, as long as it's not suddenly someone from a competing country (border nobles could switch sides anyway, if prospects looked better on the other side). A count directly above such a minor figure might care if they are related, but otherwise a count would still care more about coin.
