Ehm... For those asking about this going the Usagi Drops route, would that even make any sense?
In Usagi drops, MC is not the father, but... Ehm... Difficult family situation, but it's his dad's daughter from a woman that helped his dad out, or seomthing like that? It's been a while since I've seen the anime, I never read the manga (far enough) to get to the weird stuff happening. I was honestly hoping he'd hook up with the other lady with a son, that the kid was friends with, but then, if they'd hook up, the girl would get that boy as a brother and... Then another 'problematic' relationship might have formed??
....
WTF am I even doing now, explaining the Usagi Drop stuff??
Right, anyway, in this situation, from this story, the guy is the dad, so that would be at least 70% worse than the Usagi Drop story ending, which was already bad enough on it's own!
AND it also reminds of that story, where some adventurer picks up a girl in the woods, that turns out to be a demon, or something, but despite them seeing each other as parent and child, they too end up together (or so I've heard), which also ruins the cute image it had in the anime...
Why do authors keep pulling these weird things?!
Oh and then there's that horrible story that has an anime airing right now! A bunch of sibling find out they aren't actually (blood related) siblings and what do you think they do? Of course they throw out their 15+ years of sibling relationship and go the 'Let's all try to hump our bachelor brother' (the one other brother seems way more interesting, but is already in a relationship, so... No go? The way these girls act though, I could see them even ignoring that, if they wanted to).
Anyway, more horrible 'logic' where familial relations suddenly get completely ignored.
I hate it.
So yeah, let's hope that they don't got that route with this story, but again, since the relation is even closer in this situation, I doubt they would...
