Aw man, another one bites the dust at the confession. I kinda get it, there's only so much blood to drain out of this stone. I was about to say you can definitely still keep it going for like another volume just by shifting the same concept to them being a couple, but then the omake demonstrates exactly my point, so... oh well.

Thanks for the scanlation.

That ending was precious. Perfect landing, and while short, I think this was about perfect in terms of carrying to starting gimmick and not letting it go stale with repetition or dragging it out through melodrama story beats and whatnot.

Shiranui was a great character design, through and through - and Senpai managed to avoid the majority of the usual pitfalls that romcom male protagonists succumb to (also helped by the shorter run time, I'm sure).

Supporting cast were great, didn't get overly intrusive and helped the plot while offering some lighter comedic moments. Were good friends when it counted, and didn't take too much away from the main couple pair.

Honestly, one of the better romcom stories I've come across. Thank you for translating this series and bringing it to us.

It was such a good series, but one of its strengths was not beating around the bush like the typical romcom, so I can only say it makes sense it's finally over. Sure they could've extended it out by pumping it full of filler, but then it would've lost the charm of the two of them realizing their feelings for each other so quickly. As much as I hate to see it go, I know I would've hated it more if the author dragged it out.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i wont say its a bad ending or anything, but it does feel like it wrapped itself a bit too quickly
it doesnt have any obvious feelings of being rushed or feeling incomplete, but it does still feel like there was a bit more left to explore
however, it did what it set to accomplish, and chose not to overstay its welcome, which i can definitely appreciate
but at least a bit more of post confession chapters wouldve been nice

A fine read. Thanks for the translation. I respect the author for ending this while the series was still going strong. Better that way than allowing it to become stale. A good story knows when to end.

There's an argument to be made that the mark of a good story is knowing when to end it, even if it could have continued longer.

I think this one meets that benchmark. We got a fair range of situations and interactions, a varying bit of tone and drama (without ever feeling truly forced, in-context with the characters and their behavior and mannerisms), and even the sorta-triangle situations ultimately didn't detract from the progress and pacing, and I would argue actually helped bolster the plot and added a nice comedic element.

It could have maybe gone on for another volume, but we can say this definitely didn't overstay its welcome, as-is.

Welp, I was waiting for this end to actually pick it up and read it but is yet another "end at confession" Romcom....still at least thanks to the translation I now know, thanks.
