sexual attraction is for marriage, and pregnancy is good, not bad. when the man has more power, that is much more stable, he wants to keep her, she wants to be kept. when the woman does, there is less that keeps her from adultery, she won't respect him. yes, that teens are not considered adults is a defect of modern society. but modern society can't change this medieval-sounding dynamic between men and women, it is way too deeply rooted.

@cksn wrong, it'd be more creepy. Because in society, for the longest time, it was males that had the power. It was viewed for a long time as men getting the girl. From a man earning the right to marry the princess to men being allowed to visit prostitutes and sleep with multiple women and it being viewed as normal.

Also, if something goes wrong, it's sensei that will be pregnant, not the boy. If the teacher was a man and the student was a boy, it'd be bad because not only are females socially in weaker positions for the longest time, but it's the student that gets pregnant.

Now, if the girl/guy is old enough, I don't think it's morally wrong to get together. But I do believe that solely because females can get pregnant, the older male has to have more self control until the girl is ready to be a mom (or at least able to handle being one). On the other hand, with a female teacher, if the boy isn't ready to be a parent, it doesn't matter as much because she can care for it herself. She'd be the one that's pregnant.

But psychology kinda moved forward some time ago, we even prescribed lobotomy for women that weren't satisfied sexually by their significant other in 1920 or so...

Our psych can change based on our environment and stuff.

Hell, as children, kids were able to mature better in the old world because they could build their own kid communities and were able to grow with responsibilities at an earlier age (though on the upside, we now have way more options in life as well; so it's not like it was better... we gained some problems, but we also got way more advantages).

If anything, our modern society doesn't actually fit us humans as much as we'd wish...

We are less community driven, more alone, more depressed and have more psych issues... (though, again, I do believe the modern world is better than the past world; we care more about the psych, are more accepting and sympathetic and have many modern conveniences that the past never had -just noting that as we progressed, we gained different problems that weren't issues in the past).

We are now in an environment where we are more immature.

Though it should be noted that in the past, while teens did become parents, their own parents also helped them raise their kids and they had a whole community to rely on. Hell, it's even proven in studies that teens actually are designed to stay up later than adults and kids... which would be helpful in dealing with newborns if you think about it...

And while in the 30's the people are more able to be responsible and get what the babies need, the teens have the energy to deal with the kids...

Had benefit of having younger teachers probably, out of 10 professors in my middle school only English teacher was in mid 20's and wasn't a "looker", rest was 40yo to 50yo or older. High school wasn't better...

True, to some extent, we still have "communities" in forms of schools and extra activities. You have to agree though most kids act rather spontaneous, rarely in long term.

Historically speaking, there were plenty of teens achieving great acts, take Alexander the Great for a good example but even he had older advisors.
