Yeah, true, there should be a bit more. I'm on chapter 22 already and sneaking in a familiar situation "oh this reminds me of a time..." during their interaction would be sufficient. There's a couple more chapters to go maybe it will be explained...

Knowing so far, probably it was a trope "he/she/erc. noticed me" and it took of, like in Gyaru Cooking, I'll keep my fingers crossed it won't, because it's kinda beating a dead horse reason.
