@Yautja, to my reading of this thread, did not resort to name-calling in the manner that you did. Yautja may have responded caustically, but it was mostly constructive. At times, your replies were nothing more than insults. Attacks on a poster and not their post is something we discourage on MD.

I might suggest going to the user's profile page and blocking them. It'll prevent you from reading all of the user's posts.

Whoops! Upon re-reading the thread, the examples I saw quoted were apparently from other threads. I'd like to apologize for my mistake there.

However, you implied that Yautja is a "bitch boi" by either being a friend of @kronix or agreeing with him. That's definitely a 5.1 violation. Douchebag is not something I'd really worry about, but I'd like to again encourage you to stop name calling, no matter now tame it may be.

I didn't actually expect the backstory-- I completely expected that he was going to be leveraged as an obstacle the entire way through.

"It's predictable" isn't an especially valuable criticism. It says absolutely nothing about the functionality of the narrative, nor its thematic value. And while all art critiques are subjective and it's the goal of one who argues one to have the other understand their perspective and perhaps accept it as worthy of authority, "predictability" is the one criticism that can't be transmitted to another because they can only have the same feeling of "predictability" if they have a similar enough artistic exposure as you (and you're not just making up stuff to rag on a work).
