@boag oh the manga has not addressed why none of them have reported their rapist to the authorities, or why the only ones that decided to take action went with such an incredibly stupid, ineffective, and childish course of action, it only covered why the only one that took action had to stop after rapeman threatened to death in the elevator in front of a camera (a plot point that probably will never be touched again), but even if they did the legal system in japan screws the life of rape victims way more than that of their rapist.
Hell is not even in Japan or for just women, lets look at the convenient case of Terry Crewz, he got his crotch grabbed twice, and it took him a lot of time and courage to make the denunciation and take legal action, he was the same position in which the women on this manga are (actually he was in a better position), however he is not a woman, he is a buff as hell black man, and then nothing happened to the bastard who assaulted him, his assaulter got away with it, while on the other hand people are making fun of Terry because he got molested, and the jury on his audience even asked why he didn't physically retaliate against the molester as if it wasn't obvious that Terry would have come out worse if he had done.
Again, the manga has not touched this issue, not even once, it hasn't even come close to doing it, and it probably wont do it because the mangaka seems to think that it is the women's fault, but it is not, as we have seen with Terry it is difficult to do it even when it is the right choice, i know that she is making social commentary with this, but it is some shitty as fuck trash social commentary, and is proof that rape culture and machismo are in huge part keep alive by women themselves, like the author of this manga.
So this story is trying to tell us that on top of being the fault of the rape victim to allow the rapist to get away with their actions, by not making a report (apart from the issue of our broken legal systems, world wide were the report has a extremely limited window of time, that makes itself even harder to make if your assaulter is close and still assaulting you) the author is now making these women look like a bunch of pitiful deranged lunatics that are twisting their circumstance into something positive,
because they derive their sense of worth from being desired, this is a machist view point that the author has maintained for all characters, in which women are only women as long as men go after them, all of them believe this in one way or another, and that's some feudal times level of thinking shit that still lives on to our days.
