Good thing he instead confessed his love for her, and is now establishing a codependent relationship, in which he has to manage her suicidal tendencies and depression, while she has to deal with his as of yet hidden parasocial attachment and stalking tendencies

Which is completely healthy and not at all toxic, and will lead to no problems whatsoever for neither of them

Of course revealing why he actually cares about her wont make things better, but keeping things in the open removes one layer of issues out of the equation, and opens the door for him to start caring about her beyond her idol and entertainer persona, that in turn could help her gain some self-esteem by recognizing that she has more aspects to herself apart from her public facets

Uh...do you have a source for that? I literally just went through the past 10 chapters and didn't see any mention about the manga ending. The only thing even remotely close was mentioning that Kaede's arc specifically was ending soon (which it did like 1 chapter later) and that the new arc would follow Kaede's timeline wise.

Nothing in the chapters since then has indicated that this arc is short or that the series as a whole is ending prematurely.

I'm trying to find where I read it from too, and I may have just mixed it up with another series. If that's the case, my bad.

I'll continue to try to look because I could've sworn it was this, but maybe that's just me wanting this to be over. :/

Counterpoint: If you're trying to fix her only so that she's dateable for you, you aren't actually trying to help her, you're only trying to help yourself. So, if that's what he's doing, he deserves any fallout that results from it, such as her dropping him for someone better later on.

Honestly if it works it works, blind sympathy or attempts at it can sometimes have the inverse effect. The cold hard reality check can sometimes be best.

Then again I’ve known people who would suicide bait so maybe I’m just jaded.

No, I really could've sworn that it had said something like the series will be ending in three or four chapters. It might have been a Twitter post? Or maybe it was a completely different series.

I know it wasn't just talking about Kaede's arc ending. If I'm remembering correctly, this non-Kaede arc is only supposed to last a few chapters before the entire series ends.

But again, I could just be wrong.

Welp this’ll be an arc where they get really close as he keeps the fact he knows her idol past and when the big reveal happens they’ll have a fall out with eachother BUT THEN They come back around but it won’t be the same and she’ll probably leave and he’ll move on too. I think that in a situation like this, without the knowing the person before, the best short term solution is to make them feel like you don't want them to die, and give the wildest explanation why, to make them think about your awnser instead of their motives. I don't know tho, never met anyone suicidal
