It’s really interesting what she said though, him larping as a normal boy seems to be pretty much delaying him actually addressing where he’s at now and taking action to process it beyond being able to present a show. I think the parental pressures could come into it since there was a panel where his mother(?) said he was a normal boy now. That’s likely what would make them and most people around him most comfortable.

The fact the counseller had to basically remind him that he can enforce his boundaries and that he brushed off touching hands with her not to mention not plaining enforcing any boundaries reeks of incoming disaster. We’ll hopefully get to wade through the mess with him and become better on the other side, fingers crossed.

Not every solution has to be a silver bullet. It might not remove women from his life but it does lower the encounter rate which would actually be ideal in some cases, letting him slowly adjust to them again.

I find it very telling that Kaede is always wearing a jacket, like an extra protective layer separating him from other people. It's a beautiful detail that stays strictly visual but carries a lot of weight, and is immediately recognizable by people who might've gone through a similar experience.

This manga might honestly be a gem. It's so rare to see this topic addressed carefully and respectfully, especially in a world where we still debate if female on male SA is even possible.

It seems to be it would be rather depressing from someone to go from a normal, mixed middle school to a single gender high school, if there aren't special circumstances like the MC had. If there was a really high level single gender school, one might go there hoping to reach a better university education later, though, but would the separated gender schools be higher quality, academically, than the mixed ones?

I feel for my boy, what became of the rapist teacher is not shown, was there justice? i doubt it

He has 2 great friends fro support, also good to see friendship between boys, but that's not enough when you have trauma from rape in your past.
I can tell its gonna be a tough read, he's already accomodating towards the girl and probably will try to be the cool and kind prince that she wants, sadly.
