It’s really interesting what she said though, him larping as a normal boy seems to be pretty much delaying him actually addressing where he’s at now and taking action to process it beyond being able to present a show. I think the parental pressures could come into it since there was a panel where his mother(?) said he was a normal boy now. That’s likely what would make them and most people around him most comfortable.

The fact the counseller had to basically remind him that he can enforce his boundaries and that he brushed off touching hands with her not to mention not plaining enforcing any boundaries reeks of incoming disaster. We’ll hopefully get to wade through the mess with him and become better on the other side, fingers crossed.
