You might be thinking of the guy that could control metal. He died back in chapter 23.
Yeah, he came to mind... it is because I think I remember an ability that allowed to "throw objects really quickly", but it wasn't the magnetism, I remember an explanation that it was accelerating the object directly, and her ability looked like that... but I may be mixing other stories in my mind now.

There are so many stories I read, and many have similar ability effects, and it has been some time since i read the past chapters, so i may be having a deja vu effect in my mind.

thanks for the chapter!
Given how important the mission is , it would have made more sense to send Demi, wouldn't it? then they'd easily be able to use her power to avoid detection and keep the mirror ready to warp to Londo.
Sending Demi is way too risky. Iirc she can only look in one place at a time. She'd be in danger if there are too many dangerous elements to keep track off.

Given how vital her Intel is, Demi's power is more valuable than Oscar, Zahid and the one-use mirror combined imho

But even without Demi's power , it's pretty dumb writing that they'd eat outside like that when they're looking to avoid being detected. since it's a a small trip and one of them might not even need to eat since he's immortal, they would have been fine just bringing a bag of high energy nuts or similar and not needed to interact with anyone.
Demi needs to focus and cover her eye to use her power. She's also pretty much their top logistic asset so she makes more sense back at the base. All they needed to avoid detection was to act normal, they can just walk into the capital, it's a big city and there's a bunch of travelers, merchants, etc. It's not like they needed to not be seen, they needed to not be identified. Acting like a regular person is the right way to do that. They do not need to sneak around, that's genuinely more suspicious.

Someone's going to get hurt badly or die because of Luca's descent into revenge and pragmatism.

And I am afraid that the author is setting the pieces with Zoe.
Zoe's power allowed her to MANIPULATE THE PANELS OF THE MANGA when split in half by the blossoming Mirror Ramus' dimensional rift (an attack that was probably literally instant, i.e. faster than light, much less reflexes). It wasn't entirely an artistic flourish, either - the Mirror saw something and commented on the move being impossible (and the Mirror has seen enough Ramus powers that it would take a lot to confuse her). It's implied that Zoe's future self can at times intervene in the present. And if we take things we see literally, she also shifted herself back to a child and the world to either the modern era, or hundred of years into a future where technology had returned.

NOTHING can kill her. And, at any rate, a messy emotional situation would be more interesting for the readers and author than a key character being removed.

Ahem

TOTAL DRUID DEATH
Even that cannot kill Zoe as she is now, because other things would need to take place TO EVEN MAKE HER DYING POSSIBLE.

First, she needs to achieve better control over her powers and at least a teenage mental age in order to explain her future self rather cleverly tinkering with events already seen. After that there are two routes:

1: With a clear mind and forethought she needs to be willing to kill the Pope, Lucas, herself, and every other Ramus which will be the consequence of total druid death. Setting aside her broken ability set and importance in the war, she's a sapling candidate, so she has the option to merge with a tower to save her friends.

2: If there's a way to get rid of druids without Rami dying, and she goes through with that, she could in be killed like a normal human being, but only if she can be hunted down... in a continent where every nation-state has simultaneously collapsed, roads are poor, and there are no means of rapid or reliable communication. Eventially dying would be inevitable - without time powers she would age like anyone else, if she didn't pass away before that from unremarkable causes like disease, accident, bandit raid, or, heck, childbirth.
