Very interesting that those two have told the same story

both of them are war veterans, both have a daughter, both are fighting maniacs in some way although the level varies between the two
maybe those two and the soldier that killed the civilian worked together back then
and witnessed the trial or maybe that soldier is the blonde guy himself

During this chapter and the other before
theres is always a character talking about leaving the milary to chase their dreams or just quit bc they dont wanna do it anymore

but this is particularly happening the most with your protagonist
a lot of characters are saying for him to quit

and everytime he replies with "Even if you don't tell me to, I'll quit soon!"
the main reason he wants to quit military is so that he can chase his dream of becoming a musician
but he also has another reason for his decision

He does not want to do those shitty things anymore
he does not want to kill his soldiers nor the enemy soldiers anymore

this and his dream forms the basis of his decision to quit military
yet the world and his circumstances seems to be strongly against his decision

Since he is not able to quit the military
it will be the final push for him to stop caring about killing other people
bc he is a bit unhinged already as many characters have pointed out
he has sacrificed a lot of soldiers so far

that goes back to what the blonde guy said

since ryuka cant quit the military but still wants to chase his dream
he will enjoy his privilege by becoming a martial bugler

The concept of "owning" a manga to translate is weird as hell. Sniping makes no sense.

I disagree with concept of "owning" manga, but when one team releases quality translations regularly and then someone cuts in with noticeably worse quality, it is actually bad in several ways.

It gives people worse and often incorrect product, which also results in bad impression of manga itself, which harms the original author, the worse product then usually gets uploaded on manga aggregators, resulting in worse version being more widespread than good one, it doesn't actually speed up getting the real translation, because shitty work will always outpace quality work, it splits the discussion with majority of it being on bad quality version, and demotivates the team doing the hard but actually necessary work, which can result on only shitty MTL version being continued. It can be bad money driving out good money.

If manga isn't translated, bad quality MTL is better than nothing. If it's only updated occasionally, or is behind the raws, other teams can try to catch up with their translation instead, even if it's not as good. Sono Bisque Doll has two teams both doing quality work, and it's fine. But low quality snipe of regular and quality work is bad and deserves the pushback.
