The problem with that line of thinking is for their Mega laser thing to work and actually let them defeat the enemy they need to have strong bonds with each other which means it's actually preferable to have a group of people that work well together and genuinely like one another over a group of people who are willing to do anything to get the job done. When your weapons are powered by emotions and bonds between people you need the right kind of people for that job.

The weapons do seem to be optional. Ramming a fist all the way through a dude worked just fine.

That works for the smaller monsters but for the bigger monsters they need to use the Buster beam which requires you to have a good relationship with the other users. How good of a bond you have with the other people affects how strong the beam is. If just punching the monsters was enough to deal with all of them the military would wipe them out real quick.

Not trying to be an asshole or anything... Well, I am being an asshole here (not trying to, but well). But if you guys are okay with this quality, I can pick this back up. The only thing that made me drop this is the huge off-bubble texts all over the place, but I guess this group doesn't even bother trying to work on them (if I can do minimal effort on them, that'd be a huge chunk of work I don't need to do).

Also, there's a bunch of stuff MTL won't be able to pick up in this manga and since it is said in the credit page that this guy's using Gemini, there will be a bunch of details that will be lost in the translation.

Not trying to be an asshole or anything... Well, I am being an asshole here (not trying to, but well). But if you guys are okay with this quality, I can pick this back up. Thanks for the non-negative reply! You'd be surprised of how many times I got bad replies when this happens. We got chapter 14 and 15 translated a long time ago, but I haven't gotten to editing chapter 15. I probably won't be picking it up soon, but will try once I caught up with my other projects.

So should I now continue this series as my group is a new series no one is gonna join my group let alone a Japanese tl 🙂

Also I can't afford to do paid japanese tl when I don't earn a single penny from it maybe that's the reason I am using Gemini for translation 🥲
