Ugh, even if that wasn't her mother, this so fucked up. This is Beatrice all over again.
Btw, I can't believe his men claimed they couldn't find the princess anywhere whereas our MC wasn't even trying to hide. Her maids had to literally drag her. He or any of his men just conveniently didn't see or hear them. I know they were looking for her sister, but since the ML said they could send a replacement I'm pretty sure they would've just taken her instead if they'd found her.

@mukade As you said they were looking for her sister specifically. Also FMC was OUTSIDE of the palace when this all happened. And it was up to them to decide who to send next, the empire doesn't care enough to make the decision for them. It's part of the generosity bit

@Akera93 No confirmation, but stuff like this can be pretty deceiving on first glance so just wait until the next chapters to find out for sure.

I can't believe how dumb the mc is. I know she's grief stricken, but why did she willingly go into a dangerous situation and almost attracted the attention of the killers? For someone is knowledgable and wise, she seriously lacks common sense. Without those maids, she would be in a compromising situation right now.
