Also I thought trolls were the ones that regenerate (and also in some places can't be in Sunlight), not orcs. But, it's the author's fantasy setting so I won't begrudge.

That's definitely true in D&D, but considering the reactions of everybody else, it's also something that orcs aren't supposed to do here either. Somebody's up to shenanigans like the guy in the Kingmaker CRPG who made trolls fireproof.
