Iirc. Its because his own personal art is the kind that drains a ton of mana passively and doesnt immedietly reveal itself. Plus the necklace takes mana for everything the ancestors do.

It went the same, but he didn't use two weapons, only one big sword. And the metal of the amulet morphs into the sword, instead of it just showing up out of nowhere. They also didn't show the flashback yet?
