The anime has been a very faithful adaption, that said I'm curious why they turned Shiro wanting a pizza bun into her getting a corndog?

Fan service? Lolibaba kitsune shoving vaguely phallic food in her mouth. Otherwise, someone on the staff is actually insane and prefers corndogs over literally any incarnation of pizza. If the latter, they should be shunned by their peers.
