instead it's stabby lifeAlways love me a girls story that's not just sliced life.
Thanks to the nicely vague nature of Japanese when it comes to gendering people in the second-person, I also able to try and hint at this a bit in the translation by having Loid slip a bit and consistently refer to Kuro as "she" after Hikari shows up despite trying to make a big deal out of it and using "he" earlier in the scene in front of his clan members. It was a little bit of a liberty on my part, but even in the original text he gets a little bit more tunnel vision after Hikari shows up, so it felt appropriate to me for him to stop making something of a show out of it and instead get back to his saltiness and obsessionre-reading the first two chapters make it clear that this Loid sniper dude showed up in chapter 1 as a new player and ninja. So at least part of his cringelord shtick is because he's salty that Kuro managed to get ahead using a class he gave up on. He's just angry that someone else is a better gamer than him lmao.
