I thought I was the only one who felt the shallowness of this arc. I get really picky about certain subjects, art being one of them. This has been a boring arc so far aside from the saving-Lucia stuff. But now we have the future Empress? Popping up. This should make it more interesting.

Tbh the artist arc couldve been more like "i know your true talent i believe in your real style" blahblah and that he was just hiding it. Her trying to get him to develop his famous style within a few days isnt realistic lol.

If she was only going to give him the confidence to break from tradition that would be better than backseat drawing

Almost 40 chapters in and we're talking about fucking art perspective. Leaving the eye-roll inducing artist cringe arc aside, what exactly has Veronica achieved towards her revenge besides getting her family to safety and choosing a different knight? Just how big-brained is her intricate "keikaku" supposed to be? Will we see anything actually happen within the next year? I get that this story is supposed to be a slow burn but I'd at least like even a bit of a glance into what her endgame is.

To put it in perspective, just recall how many steps Aria had taken in Hourglass by the same chapter.

The MC here is facing much more scrutiny than Aria did, and doesn't have convenient time travel superpowers aside from the one time she was brought back. That means no casino money, which makes further investments difficult. She had to embezzle from her fashion budget.

So far she's still at the "gather pawns" stage, and yes, she doesn't seem to have made much progress. She has one maid who's reasonably clever and committed to the cause. One blackmailed noble lady, not sure how useful she can be beyond the aforementioned maid. The rest are works in progress.
