I'm scared Edward might end up working together with Kate. He doesn't deserve a redemption.
I disagree. Edward is willing to do things that nobody on Kate's team would ever consider doing. He would be far more beneficial as an asset than as an adversary. If their clash is inevitable, then Kate might try to win him over. It wouldn't be hard to take advantage of his hatred for the upper floors of the house which he fought so hard, but failed to reach. He initially blamed the children's wing for his failures, but it's clear that Grandfather has never considered him worthy of anything. He might start to see Kate differently.

In this chapter Anthony seemingly refers to the shadow Joseph as "Grandpa Joseph," which seems a bit strange to me, as shadows are totally distinct persons from the humans they're based on. If he's actually talking about the real Joseph, then that would kind of put a hole through the whole "Human Joseph is the Great Grandfather" theory and would also kind of contradict the statement that Joseph was the one leading the morphs.
I think it's more info pointing to the idea that humans can actually take over the shadow during the transformation process, which is what I assumed happened to Kate in the womb - she's a human who absorbed a shadow's powers, not a shadow raised as a human. Maybe Joseph made a deal with the Great Grandfather, that he would get to merge and keep control?

More importantly though:

WHERE LOUSIE?!? IS SHE ALRIGHT?!? :wtf: :meguuusad: :qq:

Surprisingly, I want Edward to come back, which I think will happen soon. He's smart, ambitious and like another poster said, willing to do things the "right-side team" don't want to do. I'd be more than happy to see the female sidekick of him (don't bother to learn her name) getting crushed. All she can think of is killing and torturing. I haven't seen an once of brain in her.

I have a feeling that the smug Christopher will learn a bitter lesson soon.

Yknow, something we haven't seen storywise yet that I wondered about is what happens when a shadow noble encounters the human family of the child's body they stole and I always imagined the shadows they do send out into the island are carefully placed so that scenario doesn't happen. I think people are right about Edward and co. being sent out to the coal mines as relevant bc of where the Mirrors house rebels are, but personally I also think it would be quite interesting if someone from Edward's team (or even Edward himself) was a child stolen from the Mirrors house rebels. I think it would help set up Edward and co. to unravel the conspiracy happening at the Shadows house if thatg were the case, but that's just a thought for how his side of the story could probably go though I don't think it's likely....

I'm wondering if Barbra will realize the contradiction of seeing Anthony apparently unified with Christopher when she was falling apart in the soot room and now where Christopher is not unified with Anthony. Probably not, but I'd like to think there is a possibility Anthony overlooked it.
