Alright we got Emilico's trauma- I mean- backstory, eve's backstory and Shaun and Susie's backstory (Which for some reason did not give me a good vibe.) Now, We need lou and Ricky's backstory and get absolutely crushed.

Suzie almost made me tear up, her continued love for her baby brother is so pure and wholesome. When she said "I remember now, how I used to cradle you" omg 😭 my heart. But then John/Shaun just HAD to add "Hey Suzie, IF WE can get out of this manor..." IF? IF WE GET OUT? God, I won't be ready when kid characters start getting killed off. Like, if Edward and/or his crew died, I wouldn't be happy or sad yknow. Like "ah ok thats how we're ending their arc? RIP i guess" (though I'd hope IF he/they have a chance for redemption it's not bc of the redemption equals death trope).

I'm a bit torn, I love everyone and I want all the children to make it out, buuut I also would appreciate an outcome with meaningful casualties on the children's side since it's more realistic for their situation. ugh. I love tragedy, but I love these kids..... shit haha.

this chapter is a bit much, there wasn't much foreshadowing outside of Suzanna and John enjoying each others company before in having coffee. though Suzie's enthusiasm is similar to Shuan's outgoing behavior, compared to the quiet impression the first give off. they haven't lived with each other, so I can't saw they grew in likeness of each other but surely they were both affected by their parent's divorce.
I do like Ricky's and Shuan's confrontation. life outside of the manor is very abrupt but these actions show that they really are friends.
