Nahh, that'd be far more boring. Kate and friends had been slowly but steady breaking the brainwashing on children manor since she became an Team Leader. I think it was a smart move to create an alternative like a "brainwashing de-wormer" rather than repeating the same old cycle again. Therefore, there are still many other ways to attract readers besides using that "brainwashing" stuffNgl, is it not a bit disappointing to anyone else that the breaking of the brainwashing for so many characters happened entirely off screen? I guess we've been through this before, and it seems like we're getting close to the end of the manga, but honestly I thought the appeal of this new arc was going to be Kate working with the new unbrainwashed group to crawl her way back, but nope, that all just happened off screen and she's got a good chunk of her support back already, kinda lame if you ask me
I get what you're saying but it's a different situation than reversing the brainwashing before, there wasn't an antagonistic force like Anthony who was aware of Kate and perfectly willing to utilize her brainwashed friends against her. It was more about how isolated Kate was, how much she'd lost to Anthony, and how much power Anthony had over the children's wing and Kate's friends. Wouldn't it have been interesting to see them pit against her just a bit? To see her have to get rid of Anthony's new hold on them and see firsthand the kind of twisted plans he has for the Shadow House through interactions with them and other characters?Nahh, that'd be far more boring. I Understand your disappointment dude, hope this will pick up the story once again and get better like it used to do. but on the other hand I also kind of understand why their works felt bit rushed recently due to the author's current health condition.I get what you're saying but it's a different situation than reversing the brainwashing before, there wasn't an antagonistic force like Anthony who was aware of Kate and perfectly willing to utilize her brainwashed friends against her. Imo this kinda takes the winds out of the sails of Anthony as an antagonist, it's like "Oh no! He took over the children's wing and brainwashed all of Kate's supporters! He knew what she was doing the whole time, holy shit how can she plot against someone so cunning? She only has a few people left unaffected and willing to help her, what is she going to do? LOOOOOL jk in a month pretty much everyone important has been unbrainwashed and Anthony doesn't suspect a thing it's all cool"
I mean come on, is "Oh I just so happened to have been developing the cure for brainwashing on the side so everyone just took it and boom almost everyone is back to normal now!" not an asspull? This series is usually a lot more methodical than this
