Honestly, favorite thing about this manga is that it's not all about the one game. Sure, it mostly is, but Sunraku's pretty well established to play whatever he wants in the early chapters and it's sweet that the author makes sure to keep that up as they go along.

Yeah being able to change things up whenever they want was a pretty great idea from the mangaka. It keeps things pretty interesting too. I really liked the mini arc they had for that mecha VR game for example.

Another effect it has is that it shows the readers where his skills come from. The readers get to see the extent of his skill rather than just being told he has skill.
It sells the story even further and I am more invested in Sunraku more and more.
I also like that we see him genuinely lose, and not a bullshit loss.

pencilgon looks very similar to her game characters. I love how sunraku still wearing masks irl. Then again it might be a good idea if he wants to keep his identity a secret. Since this is an international event his face would be plastered by the media otherwise.
