Yes, but that doesn't mean she though it was going to behave exactly like it did in the story, shrinking away to nothing and having a poisonous monster thingy underneath - my reading of her initial reaction was that she figured it was just a house that was supposed to look like the one from the story, and it never even occurred to her that it was going to be (effectively speaking) the actual house from the story.

Once it started shrinking she connected the dots (or started to), and as soon as she realised the implications she figured out that breaking the floor was an option. And then looking down at the monster thingy and going "oh . . . that thing's poisonous, isn't it . . ." - the fact that she jumped down herself rather than making someone else take that risk was really supremely brave, and totally justifies the "oh mama" ending.
