so im just gonna assume sherbet kept picking the wrong dialogue option with granita and getting killed and each time she makes a wish to say the weirdest things that wont get her killed.

the price she’s paying is her braincells which is why shes a weirdo that randomly blurts out the anatomical names of female genitalia now lol

Now I'm wondering when the time loop initiated in the narrative we saw in the previous chapters and how it played out differently every time. Were Mors, Kishiel, Ginger, and Ale always in the loop, or is this iteration different somehow?

That means she must have found the box 9 times before this, so why did she not find it this time?

And what are the prices that Sherbet paid to just, reset 9 times like that?
Sure the box asked these 3 weirdos to give it cursed blood, but that can't be the only thing it asked for, because if it only asked for cursed blood how could Sherbet made 9 wishes to it??

Sure the box asked these 3 weirdos to give it cursed blood, but that can't be the only thing it asked for, because if it only asked for cursed blood how could Sherbet made 9 wishes to it??

She definitely didn't give it cursed blood - the box said she'd already paid the same price nine times, there's no way she could have done that when Granita's is the only cursed blood available.

. . . . unless Mors is cursed? But all we know is that Granita is the focus of all her previous wishes, we have no idea if anyone else is involved or how any of the previous loops played out - possibly Mors was there before, but without any evidence all we can do is guess.

Or maybe it's Sherbet who's cursed? And maybe that's why she's looping - the price that's asked is her blood, and in paying that price she dies and loops back to somewhere at the start of things . . .

But honestly, I don't think the box would be asking for the same thing from multiple people - it's going to be asking for something reeeeeeally specific to each person, which will be set up to make things as difficult as possible for them, or with specific challenges which the person doesn't know about yet (like with Kishiel not knowing that the demand for cursed blood would be effectively impossible given the nature of Granita's curse, or that telling Sherbet would destroy any chance of her hooking up with her new crush). Messing with them as thoroughly as possible is clearly the goal.

Also . . . Sherbet's remaining brain cells break in the most . . . well, bizarre ways is probably the best way to put it, though hilarious also works . . .
