this anthology hasn't been very strong so far... art was very cute and the translation rocked!! story was the kind that didn't work for a one shot but if it had been a multi chapter i would probably have dropped because the ml would just become the frustrating kind of chess master

Quite reminiscent of Korean time-rewind stories that I've read, in the specific sense that the heroine ends up with the guy that condemned her to die in the first loop. What's that about?

Also the recommend from the end is good as well. My local library somehow has the first three volumes and I've been reading it to improve my Japanese - unlike a lot of manga it has a lot of keigo which is something I'm not all that used to.

I didn’t like this one. I don’t understand why he murdered her and the whole keep her pretty thing was creepy. She was never actively malicious and she’s clearly capable of learning if people teach her. And even once she returned he’s weird and manipulative. At least the art was cute.

At the risk of saying what has already been said: it's somewhat okay, but I'm annoyed that her murderer is also the potential paramour. I don't mind a story where girlie goes back in time and starts to fix her life, but this is just... badly executed.

The fact he killed her it is pretty gross. Even if she was used as a puppet. And he has memories too so it's a extra level of disgusting.
I think it's quite meaningful that she dies by his hand. On one hand, it was mercy killing that spared her from imprisonment, torture, trial, humiliation and execution. He also seems rather possessive, and by doing this he made sure no one else could have her.

All we have is his word on it. We don't really know if a war actually occurred. If they managed to repel the invaders, why was he the one who informed her? For all we know, he murdered both her and her husband out of jealousy.
Also, a war alone would not lead to her execution. She's still the queen.
