His dad is being tactful. Not sure why you think that's 'fucking stupid'. Having tact is a good skill. There are plenty of things people don't want to talk about. If you force people to talk about stuff they don't want to talk about, it will only make things awkward between you. His dad was showing tact by understanding that the answer is something hard for Erik to speak about and therefore decide to postpone it for later, probably when Erik is ready to talk about it.

Being tactful is a good trait. Knowing when to back off when a girl says 'no' is being tactful. Knowing when to shut up in front of a sensitive subject is being tactful.

It seems like something obvious but almost all redo manga ignore it like the actions of the MC only matter within the events and don't have consequences to the future they think they know.

Clearly the demon was doing the attack in secret, preparing to instigate war between humanity and demon kind to make the unstable political situation he took power with. In this case, the question is whether Irenes dad is still alive as that determines the politics in the other country. Either way, Erics whole village should migrate for safety.

Its because of felix why irene ended up with mc.
Now felix gone early on, princess no longer have any reason to leave the demon castle. She may take up on a commander role and do her duties as a royalty. Mc will fight his love, and mc will stupidly remind their love which hasnt happened. Idk...time travel plots or something like that
