Hello, Muncher here.
I wanted to go over some quick things before anyone comments anything! As some of you have noticed, we've switched up the joke to have the English translation as a primary.

[li]
Code:
Why are we changing it?
[/li]
After going back in forth a couple of times, we have decided to translate the manga how we, as a scanlation team, see fit, and have decided to put all jokes in English first, then if needed, give a Romanji translation note to those who want it.

[li]
Code:
Are we changing it, or making any future modifications to the joke to make it flow better?
[/li]
Although we would love to, we do have our own personal lives to attend to, and once we post a chapter unless there is a major error in translation, we would prefer not to touch it.

[li]
Code:
How about the old chapters?
[/li]
In order to keep consistency, over the course of two weeks we will be slowly updating and reuploading the old chapters of Kanako so they feature the English TL as a primary.

Ah, another day in Kanako's life. Getting up to her mom's phone asking about marriage, talking to her boss if it's possible in this line of work, killing an abusive husband while on her way home, sleep, then getting up again to the same question.

Thank you Muncher.
Also, yeah, this is okay. I prefer English primary and Japanese in the notes anyway.
Unless you're doing "Keikaku means plan"

Marrying someone just to become a housewife is honestly just a waste. Who’d want to be stuck in the house all the time? And besides kanako probably gets payed a lot of money so why would she need someone to work for her~

@Sandpaper I don't think she did - in the last panel she is going off somewhere, there are streetlights in the background or something.

If I read it correctly, she was hired by the wife to kill the husband. That explains why she had a key to the place and why she calmly gives instructions to the wife afterwards as to how to handle the aftermath.

To quote Dave Chapelle as Rick James: "🎵 Coooold 🎵 Blooded 🎵"

Thanks for the TL

Hey, it's the actual D&D Demogorgon, not the Stranger Things one. Color me impressed.

She was masked but having the woman who hired her see all these seems like a mistake, inb4 she just kills the witness as well later for snitching.

You don't have to cry over people you killed

Especially when you don't know who he is

(Or someone who piss you up)

@Tamerlane
Thank you for your advice! Now I know what's wrong with me

Okay, I think this instance was jumping the gun a bit.

Like I understand killing a serial rapists/sexual assualters, but this may be taking some information out of context. Like, I know it's meant to imply that this was a case of serial domestic abuse, but what if she misunderstood the situation and this was like a one-time thing and he didn't actually hit her? I think she should have gathered more information first because if they actually did love each other and were generally supportive, but the guy just exploded from the pressure and chewed her out one day, I don't think we'd be rooting for her as much

@TheLaidBackMan Easier said then done. Soldiers have to deal the stress of knowing they're killing someone's son, brother, friend, loved one, etc. Hence the phrase: afraid to shoot strangers.

@Tamerlane They're fucking assassins. They're not vigilantes killing only bad people. They worked with yakuza before. They kill whoever they're paid to kill. Seems like the wife hired them this time. Only the MC has a slight bit of grudge against sexual assaulters so she ends up acting on impulse but seems like so far she hasn't killed anyone who hasn't already been marked by her agency. It just happens that most of the people they are hired to kill are just that.

@Tamerlane Kanako doesn't "understand" the situation, and she shouldn't care anyway. She is a hired killer, not a vigilante.
