That was a nice little series. Could have used another volume but it still feels pretty complete; I enjoyed it! Thanks for the translation.
I honestly really liked it a lot too, and that ending was just peak, I feel a lot of people misunderstand BDSM as it just being sex and kink, but to me at the very least it is ultimately about acts of service.without a doubt one of the all time best and realistic portrayals of the bdsm scene and lifestyle, so happy it got made. I was sad about the short length at first but honestly after seeing so many other manga fizzle out with dragged on stories maybe it's better to end while it's still on a high.
wish it was easier to recommend this to people as a romance story because it's delightful
So sad this ended but so happy for them thanks for the update!
This doesnt even come close to Nana to Kaoru. Unfortunately, she just didnt take responsibility as the domme to make sure that he was comfortable and that their feelings were clear. Kaoru obsessed with caring for Nana's well-being, both physical and mental.I thought Nana was gonna reply "QUEEN NEVER CRY" on page 20, the setup was there 😂

A sweet series, love to see a femdom manga centered around character relationships rather than ecchi/hentai. The ending definitely feels like it got axed, everything wraps up too easily and quickly in this final chapter. Was hoping this would be as long-running and iconic as "Nana & Kaoru", but for femdom.
Still a wonderful read, thank you for scanlating! If this comes to print one day, it's a definite buy for me!!!
If this is a realistic portrayal of femdom bdsm, then the scene has massive issues in that regard. It's ok as mild erotica or softcore porn, but it was absolutely not a healthy depiction of bdsm.without a doubt one of the all time best and realistic portrayals of the bdsm scene and lifestyle, so happy it got made. Instead, we have her manipulate him with abandonment, discouraging him to use his safe word and all around playing the "hard to get" damsel so that he chases her and feels insecure in the dynamic. It doesnt work in a bdsm story, because it comes across as toxic and unbalanced.
Just my two cents. I've been looking for just one example of a good, healthy bdsm manga with a female domme, but I've not found a single one. And absolutely none that can come even close to Nana to Kaoru in terms of a healthy depiction of bdsm. What's even more mind-boggling is that people just seem to accept this as a good depiction of healthy bdsm. Is there really such a massive double standard? I've known femdom dynamics to be quite difficult IRL, but it's kinda crazy how different the attitudes seem to be when contrasted with maledom.
Yeah, well dommes aren't all-seeing, all-knowing, all-perfect, saviours of submissive men. Nana is a domme with trauma and flaws, not a mommy therapist that most depictions of dominant women in media seem to have. And if the femdom isn't a therapist, they're purely fetish dispensers with nothing else to their personalities. Not saying how Nana acted is acceptable, but it humanizes her. In the end, she accepts that how she acted wasn't right, grows as a person and wants to change and improve herself for Sawada.
You speak as if Nana & Kaoru is the standard for maledom when the average "maledom" manga is full of rape, abuse and sexism, whether it's shoujo, shounen, seinen, josei, whatever. Other than Nana & Kaoru, what other healthy, 100% consenting maledom bdsm can you name? The reason why people emphasise the importance of consent and care in maledom media is because there's such a severe lack and unawareness of it.
Out of the sea of maledom stories, we have like what, 3 femdom stories that aren't 90% malegaze porn? This story isn't perfect, but it's a start. Especially for women who are dommes or are interested in being dommes, since any depictions of femdoms we see are leather-clad, dommy mommy, fetish dispensers 😒
Jesus Christ. "She's only human teehee" so it's ok for her to threaten abandonment if he uses his safe word and even blocking him from using it? Sure, you can claim that that is an interesting part of the story, but to say that she is an example of a good domme and that this is healthy bdsm? Are you for real? And the vast majority of dominant women in media are unreasonable dominatrixes who usually do it seemingly without consent, for "comedy." What youre saying makse ZERO sense.Nana is a domme with trauma and flaws, not a mommy therapist that most depictions of dominant women in media seem to have.
I have not read every single one in existence, but another good one is "Takane no Hana wa Midaresaki" where things get spicy, but even the teenager male dom is held to a higher standard than what you've set for grown female dommes. If that's what the "evil" male gaze can conjure up, then how come all of your precious female gaze femdom bdsm I have seen has been toxic as fuck? Ironically enough, the toxic maledom love stories are usually the female gaze ones.Other than Nana & Kaoru, what other healthy, 100% consenting maledom bdsm can you name?
There is a fucking OCEAN out there of female gaze femdom stories and I have not found a single one that is healthy. Just go on any manhwa site and see for yourself.Out of the sea of maledom stories, we have like what, 3 femdom stories that aren't 90% malegaze porn?

If you take on the role of a domme with the literal life and vulnerability of your sub in your hands you can't afford to go "I'm not your therapist teehee" like so many immature women seem to do. It's so fucking gross to hear people say that in general and especially in this context. Such women should NEVER be dommes, period.
Just fucking imagine if Kaoru pulled some shit like this on Nana? What if he said "welp, I'm done with this, this is our last 'breather'. Here's your safe word but if you use it, we're done forever." And then he ties her up and starts choking her while blocking her mouth so she can't say anything? Something tells me you would call that "rapey male gaze porn" and not start going on about how "human" he is and how he is "not her therapist."

Yes, there is TONS of maledom porn that is rapey and tons of femdom porn that is even MORE extreme and rapey. But BDSM love stories that go on for more than just 1 chapter of hardcore sex have only been healthy when it has been maledom, in my experience.
There is a fucking OCEAN out there of female gaze femdom stories and I have not found a single one that is healthy. Just go on any manhwa site and see for yourself. It's really fucking sad to see.
Can you name me just one femdom love story manga that is genuinely healthy? I've seen some come close, but they have ALL faltered, just like this one, in extreme ways. Chances are, you will recommend me one that actually has toxic elements just like this one without ever even realizing that they were toxic. Because yall have a warped sense what is healthy when it comes to what's done to the male lead.
You know, this reminds of what I've seen in the BDSM scene with femdom relationships being more toxic. Because of attitudes like yours being so common among women.
In my experience, it's rare for a woman to be reasonable or ask for consent in regular love stories, but in BDSM it's almost non-existent. A stark contrast to the few maledom love stories I've read for the male gaze, which heavily emphasise the male doms caring taking responsibility for their actions, caring for their subs' feelings and making sure that everything is done safely.
How do I not make sense when what you just said is exactly what I meant. Most dommes in media are flat, one-dimensional fetish dispensers that no women can relate to and is toxic representation for both men and women. Nana is a domme who, yes, makes mistakes, but learns and grows. And the vast majority of dominant women in media are unreasonable dominatrixes who usually do it seemingly without consent, for "comedy." Yet another highschool hentai where the unrelatable and underage female lead is slutted out in every panel. Like I said, this isn't a characteristic only of malegaze media, toxic maledom is EVERYWHERE. Women's media, men's media and in the bedroom, in real life.I have not read every single one in existence, but another good one is "Takane no Hana wa Midaresaki" where things get spicy, but even the teenager male dom is held to a higher standard than what you've set for female dommes. "Love and Leashes" & "Ladies on Top". And that's out of the 5 femdom stories I know with grown, adult characters. YES there's drama because that's what makes stories interesting, but all the characters are beginners to the BDSM dynamic. They make mistakes but grow and learn together. Dommes aren't born out of the womb knowing 100% everything there is about being a dominant like you expect. Can you name me just one femdom love story manga that is genuinely healthy?
Where the hell is this ~OCEAN~ of female gaze femdom, my total manga/manhwa reading list is 1000+ and I actively HUNT for them. Do you see an averagely drawn guy flash his abs in a single panel in a harem femdom manga/manhwa and think it's femgaze? Be for realThere is a fucking OCEAN out there of female gaze femdom stories and I have not found a single one that is healthy. Just go on any manhwa site and see for yourself. I'm gonna try the ones you mentioned, but your judgment for what is "healthy" in regards to how men are treated is very questionable, so I dont have my hopes up. Honestly, reading your response only made me feel more hopeless about women in this scene. How do I not make sense when what you just said is exactly what I meant. Most dommes in media are flat, one-dimensional fetish dispensers that no women can relate to and is toxic representation for both men and women. Nana isn't threatening abandonment, she WANTS him to leave because she's been abused and is afraid of being an abuser and being too much for Sawada. The difference is that in the end, she changes. She wants to be with Sawada and be a proper domme.
And what about Nana's boundaries? After she messed up and injured Sawada, she called him, worried about him and cared about his wellbeing like a proper domme before telling him she was quitting. But he still insisted that she be his queen. BDSM dynamics aren't a one way street where only dominants can cross boundaries.

Look, I AGREE that ALL dominants and submissives, women or men, should actively learn about and practice consent, boundaries and limits. I AGREE that Nana could have been better. But seeing how few femdom manga there are without rape or 20000 ass shots of the underage, one-dimensional female lead, this manga is a good start and mostly healthy until her abuser makes a reappearance.
I also care about submissive's mental health and enjoy stories where dommes care and help them. But mentalities like yours where you expect dommes to be perfect dominants and therapists from the get go and get the "ick" when they aren't "actively being genuine with her feelings and looking out for him, making sure that he is safe in the relationship. He gives her his vulnerability and she is responsible for the dynamic working." while the submissive does nothing but sit pretty is very hypocritical.
This strange vendetta you have against this really short and mild femdom manga while praising maledom media and dynamics, which has worse and more toxic themes 90% of the time is really delusional.
God, I wish I had eyes like yours that naturally censors out all the toxic maledom stories forced down women's throats for centuries and sees only the one or two ~caring maledom~ stories and thinks that's the standard.
Don't expect another response from me because your mindset is unfortunately very clearly set. Hopefully you get your drama-free, 100% perfect, one-dimensional, highschool aged pro-domme manga one day or whatever
Funny how you snuck that in, as if I ever mentioned that I prefer high school age protagonists. If anything, my only point has been that even just high school age boys seem to be portrayed as better partners than most of the adult women in romance stories, especially BDSM. And especially in female gaze stories. They are certainly held to a higher standard than what you've set for adult dommes, for whom it is apparently OK to ignore safewords and ignore their their subs' feelings because "they're not therapists."highschool aged pro-domme manga one day or whatever
