I almost found it weird for him to actually go out of his way to save someone, so he was possessed also like the comment below it took me a while to realize that girl wasn't in the car.

But that begs the question, It seems he's also susceptible to possession like Mako. That'd be dangerous, glad his friend was a bro though and actually looked out for him (with a push from his childhood friend). She's like his guardian angel at this point with some many death encounters he had lol.

I almost found it weird for him to actually go out of his way to save someone, so he was possessed also like the comment below it took me a while to realize that girl wasn't in the car.

Though she's ultimately revealed to have been a ghost, Mizuno Kaori, the girl who gave Jun the tissues, was in the car at the beginning. As Goyyog mentioned in 2020, we first see the back of her head on page one (to the left of Koizuma's second speech bubble in panel two).

Her presence in the story is still a nice fake-out tho.
