"It's about time."
"Yeah, I know."
Like... what other response could you have to your son calling you out?
I'm so fucking glad the author did this.
If he can actually get himself together, but only after his kids also get ready to kill each other, he should be fucking glad that he gets the bare minimum instead of a beating (though TBF he did get his arms broken before he...I still don't understand what he did, but whatever it was which restored his muscles and also apparently everything else physically).
And nice to see Lavi is having a easier time talking shit to his sister. I understand she's still raging mad because of course the irrational person who didn't even get properly punted yet, and whose dirt of a dad has barely tried to support yet is talking as if everything was magically resolved after getting himself grievously harmed for a split second, wouldn't settle down until properly beaten down (words-wise or punches-wise).
Even then, the fact she still refuses to acknowledge that the only way he's become stronger is thanks to being able to cooperate and use everything he has to the best of his ability really shows her main fault even more glaringly. After all, even in a 1v1 fight, he isn't "fighting alone", while she refuses to do anything but that.
