Or they did read it, and enjoyed it very much. But they also want to be creative with it. Isn’t that what makes the artists? Being creative. I mean, I can take Romeo and Juliet and make Juliet an insane yandere. Or make Adolf Hitler somehow changes his way by passing art school and reincarnating as a mangaka. The world is in your pen, you just need to make it.
